Transforming mental healthcare

I believe in providing compassionate, collaborative, and personalized care that takes an integrative and holistic approach to mental health. Treatment Modalities

Medication Management:

  • Utilizing evidence-based psychiatric medications to address symptoms and promote mental well-being. Integrative psychiatry doesn’t mean anti-medication - I can help you find the best medication regime that helps you feel better without causing unnecessary side effects, and I can also help you reduce your need for medication by using holistic methods to give you extra support.

Psychotherapy:

  • Engaging in talk therapy to explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, fostering personal insight and coping strategies. I start the therapy process by listening to you and hearing your story. Then I give you concrete tools to help you understand yourself and free yourself from negative patterns. Types of therapy include: supportive, cognitive, and accelerated resolution therapy. Accelerated resolution therapy (ART) is a unique and brief therapy that can help symptoms related to trauma, anxiety, depression, phobias, performance anxiety, grief, etc. Click here to learn more about ART.

Supplementation:

  • Integrating nutritional and supplement approaches to support mental health and overall well-being. Prescription medications aren’t the only thing that impact brain pathways involved with mood regulation, and I can work with you to use nutritional supplementation and plant-based medicines to feel better.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT):

  • Offering medications such as naltrexone and buprenorphine to assist individuals in their journey to recovery from substance abuse. These medications reduce cravings, decrease the risk of relapse, and help maintain sobriety.

Lifestyle Coaching:

  • Providing guidance on lifestyle changes to enhance mental health, incorporating elements such as nutrition, exercise, and stress management. If your sleep, nutrition, or exercise habits aren’t serving your mental health, the best medication regime in the world won’t be as effective as it could be. I can help you take steps forward to change habits and create positive results.

I am an out-of-network psychiatrist, which means I am able to offer a holistic approach to care that incorporates both traditional psychiatric treatments and complementary therapies.  By not taking insurance, I can offer a more comprehensive and personalized approach to your care, without being limited by time or insurance restrictions. This includes:

  • Spending more time with you during and between visits to work on your personalized goals

  • A trauma-informed approach that honors your wisdom and preferences

  • Evidence-informed, integrative psychiatry that is difficult to find in community health settings

  • Easy, hassle-free scheduling and communication with me between visits

  • Making an investment in your health and well-being

I use Reimbursify, a secure, fast, and HIPAA compliant software that makes it easy to file out-of-network reimbursement claims. You can check your out-of-network benefits here.
